Cultures around the world celebrate a young person’s transition from childhood into adulthood with rites of passage and ceremonies to mark these momentous occasions. From the tree of life ceremony associated with the Quinceañera, in which a young woman gives a candle to 15 people who have made an impact on her 15 years of life, to the haftarah reading during a young man’s Bar Mitzvah, we at BCC are celebrating our coming of age. Join us in this exciting performance at the Roxbury Community College Media Arts Center.
