Hubie Jones Honored
The Boston Children's Chorus is proud to share the news that Founder and President Hubie Jones was named as one of 10 winners of the 2010 Purpose Prize. The Purpose Prize recognizes social entrepreneurs over 60 who use their experience and passion to make an extraordinary impact on society's biggest challenges. Hubie was awarded the prize in Philadelphia on Friday, November 12, in a special ceremony.

In February, BCC chorus members took a featured role in Opera Boston's production of "Madame White Snake," the first major opera premiere in 40 years and based on the ancient Chinese myth of Madame White Snake, a serpent demon who transforms into a woman to fall in love with a mortal man.
