The mission of the Boston Children's Chorus is to harness the power and joy of music to unite Boston’s diverse communities and inspire social change. Our singers transcend social barriers in a celebration of shared humanity and love of music. Through intensive choral training and high-profile public performance experience, they learn discipline, develop leadership skills, and proudly represent the city of Boston as Ambassadors of Harmony.
In pursuit of this mission, BCC enhances its local programming with tours and excursions efforts to enable students to reach their highest potential of musical and social achievement and personal growth. Through cultural learning and travel, we develop informed students, citizens and young leaders who contribute to the advancement of their respective communities.
In celebration of our tenth anniversary, the Boston Children’s Chorus will be traveling to Vietnam and Cambodia on an approximately 2 week cultural exchange tour in June and July 2013. Its purpose is to bring together youth from the United States and Southeast Asia and give them the chance to learn from each other and form international friendships
