A Message from BCC

BCC News

Dear BCC Community,

Once again over the past week and a half, our nation has been shattered by mass shootings and gun violence. From the killing of shoppers in a racist attack at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York to a church shooting in California to yesterday’s devastating loss of 21 lives at Robb Elementary School in Texas, gun violence remains a scourge on our nation.

BCC is holding space to remember the children and educators who were viciously murdered in yesterday’s shooting and reaffirming our support for young people who live in fear of their places of education being desecrated by evil violence. More than ever, we cherish and love the children in our care and desperately urge our elected officials to take immediate action to protect our citizens from gun violence – especially young people in schools across the country.

Every child deserves to feel welcome and safe in their everyday environments. We must work together as a nation to reduce the frequency of these terrible events that leave families shattered and children fearful.

For children and families struggling with this devastating news, we are providing a few links to articles and resources that can help facilitate these challenging conversations.
