After 11 years, Boston Children's Chorus (BCC) returned to the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular at the Charles River Esplanade, alongside a star-studded lineup that included LeAnn Rimes, Leslie Odom Jr., Bell Biv DeVoe, and the U.S. Army Field Band Soldiers’ Chorus, conducted by Keith Lockhart!

As the country navigates a complex moment, the celebration invited reflection, unity, and the power of music to bring people together.

"We really feel the need to express our hope for our country and our vision for what we want for the country right now,” said singer Liana Min (via 7News - WHDH)

“I feel like I have to do my best so a lot of people can get the message of these songs,” said singer Binyam Tsegai. (via 7 News - WHDH)

BCC and the Boston Pops were not the only ones reuniting at the concert.

“One of the songs we’re singing is ‘After the Storm,’ with Leslie Odom Jr. We’re super excited to reconnect with him,” said BCC Music Director, Kenneth Griffith. “We haven’t performed with him [since our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert in 2014]. We’re really excited to welcome him back to Boston and to have that partnership there.” (via WBZ NewsRadio)

“I’m a big ‘Hamilton’ fan, and when I found out we’d be performing with him, I was like, really excited,” said Tsegai. (via 7News - WHDH)

“There were lots of screams, my mom sent me some very excited texts,” said Min. “All of us are so, so excited, and fangirling like crazy.” (via 7News - WHDH)

Joy and excitement, they hope to share with all Americans celebrating this Independence Day.
