Tanglewood (July 13-16)

On Sunday, July 16th, Boston Children's Chorus (BCC) performed the Children's Choir parts of Carl Orff's infamous "Carmina Burana" as part of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and Boston Symphony Orchestra's performance of the work at the Tanglewood Festival. What an exciting opportunity to perform an iconic piece of music on one of the most celebrated stages in the world. BCC singers also had excursions to a local jump park & the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Check out the music video that BCC singers created while on tour, directed by Assistant Conductor Maggie Storm below!

"I enjoyed the Tanglewood trip because we were able to socialize and get to know each other. We worked together to know our songs and get it right. We had fun at rehearsals and at the hotel! This was an awesome experience, especially after being trapped by COVID. I actually get to sing and make friends."

"Although this trip was short, it meant so much to me. I've made so many new friends, and the staff were the kindest and most patient. This is my first tour ever, and it will forever be one of the most memorable moments of my life. I can't thank BCC enough for the opportunities and friendships. I have found my family here, and I am so proud of it."

"Getting the opportunity to bond with people I only partially knew was such a valuable experience. I made relationships I know I will carry into the next season. Working with a professional choir and orchestra was incredible, and I felt supported by singers and staff throughout."

Montreal & Kingston, Canada (July 15-23)

BCC went on its first international tour in four years! Premier Choir participated in the Pro Musica International Choral Festival at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Singers performed with high school students from across the U.S. and Canada, took part in rehearsals and clinics with a world-class faculty of artists, sang alongside renowned professional choral ensembles, including Albany Pro Musica's Chamber Singers and the Camerata Coral de Puerto Rico, and performed a world premiere composition under Festival Guest Conductor and Composer, Rollo Dilworth. Before we headed to Kingston, Ontario, we stopped in Montreal, Quebec, to watch Cirque Du Soleil.
