From an anthem of the labor movement of the 1930s to a slogan of Puerto Rican activists resisting urban development here in Boston in the 1960s: the words “We Shall Not Be Moved” have resonated with many people across time. Kicking off our 20th anniversary season, Boston Children’s Chorus singers celebrate the diversity and determination brought to this city through different waves of migration. Through song, we tell the story of local activists’ uncompromising dedication to justice and share the triumphs that inspire our communities.
