Take A Seat

Celebrate our growing BCC community!

Claim a BCC choir seat in your name, honor someone you love, or remember someone you miss – or all three!

Your gift to name a BCC choir seat will help us fulfill our mission. The goal of our Take A Seat campaign is to celebrate BCC’s new location and support our mission of social justice through music.

$500

Your seat naming, with a short inscription of your choosing, will permanently reflect your generosity wherever Boston Children’s Chorus goes in the future. For a $500 donation your name or the name of someone you love will be forever memorialized on a plaque on one of our 200 choral seats.

AND your name will be listed in all program books and annual reports for the remainder of this year and all of season 2017/18

AND on a thank you plaque in our lobby area.

Act now and join the celebration!

A Musical Inspiration for the Seat Campaign

When Kobi Russell began singing with the Boston Childrens Chorus at the age of seven - back in 2006 - it brought great joy to his grandfather McKinney Russell, who himself had been singing since his days in the youth choir of the Episcopal church in Brooklyn.

Kobi's commitment to BCC and singing mirrors his grandfather's commitment to singing as a child through college, and long after retirement with Boston's own Mystic Chorale and the Yale Alumni Chorus.

Both have traveled with their choruses internationally, and given McKinney Russell's passing last year, Kobi's family is very pleased to dedicate a memorial chair to him and for Kobi's many years of participation in the Boston Children's Chorus.
