
Esther Garcia Moreno
Collaborative Pianist
Esther Garcia Moreno joined Boston Children’s Chorus as a collaborative pianist in 2023. She is currently based in Boston, MA, working as staff pianist for the vocal department at Berklee College of Music, and as piano instructor and vocal coach at Brookline Music School and Solomon Schechter Day School. Praised for her expressive and sensitive playing, as well as her charismatic presence on stage, Esther has distinguished herself as a collaborative artist with a strong international career.
Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, she began her piano studies at an early age. Between 2007 and 2017, she completed a Professional Degree in Music at Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria, obtaining a perfect score in her final recital and Honorable Mentions in both Chamber Music and Relaxation Techniques and Anxiety Management. She later moved to the United States to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and went on to complete a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at Boston University under the mentorship of Professor Shiela Kibbe.
Her artistry has been recognized in several international settings. She has performed in Spain, Italy, Mexico, and the United States, including appearances at festivals such as Pirineos Classics (Canfranc, Spain), Clásicos Colgados(Cuenca, Spain), and La Música Lírica (Novafeltria, Italy). She was awarded as the prizewinner in the Music Education category by the Euterpe Music Club (Greensboro, North Carolina, 2021) and an Honorable Mention in the Queen Royalty Division at the Young Artists Competition (Raleigh, North Carolina, 2018). As a versatile musician, Esther enjoys a wide repertoire that spans genres of music such as classical, pop, R&B, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, and opera. Her greatest inspiration comes from collaborating and performing with other soloists, chamber musicians, choirs, and orchestras that enrich her professional journey and musical growth.
