
Joshua Glassman
Individual Giving Officer, Assistant Conductor
Michigan native Joshua Glassman has appeared on both stage and podium. As a tenor, his multifaceted resume includes opera, art song, choral music, musical theatre, and cabaret. As a conductor and educator, Joshua's primary mission is to bring a love of vocal music to new audiences and tomorrow's performers.
Joshua served on the voice faculty and directed the Glee Club at the University of Pennsylvania. After leaving Penn, he taught at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in Northwest Philadelphia. Though rooted in established styles, Joshua has also premiered new works, including Henry Crawford in the American premiere of Jonathan Dove's Mansfield Park. Other notable credits include Stine in City of Angels, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, and Lysander in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Prominent solo appearances include the Embassy Series in Washington, D.C., Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, and Grace Church Choral Society in New York. He is a former member of the opera choruses of Philadelphia, Detroit, and Baltimore and currently sings with the Princeton Festival Baroque Chorus, Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, and Cantata Singers in Boston. Mr. Glassman holds degrees from the University of Michigan (BM '12) and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University (MM '15).
